Dear 5th grade students and families,
  I am excited to welcome you to my class!  It is my goal, with your help, to make this a year of fun, learning and growth! I am excited about coming back to 5th grade.  I have 15 years of experience teaching fifth grade.  There are so many exciting things about this year. You will see your child grow and develop in so many wonderful ways.
      Let me introduce myself.  I have been teaching for 21 years.  I have taught 5th grade, 3rd grade and Kindergarten. . My husband and I moved up from Tamarac, Florida.  We raised our daughters here in North Carolina, and they are young adults now still living in North Carolina.  I live in Raleigh with our golden retriever Blondie.  I have two grandchildren in Fuquay Varina that keep me pretty busy.
     When I am not teaching, I like to travel, hike, play tennis, pickleball, volleyball and swim.  I also enjoy reading, painting and music.  I always enjoy exploring educational ideas for my students and planning new activities to try in the classroom.
    I am looking forward to this coming school year!  I know it will be memorable! Enjoy your summer break and be ready for an exciting 5th grade year!
